Natural Gum Rubber Gaskets

INQUIRE

Decades of Experience in the Manufacturing of Natural Gum Rubber Gaskets

SRP has been providing custom converted Natural Gum rubber gaskets to various industries for many years. Natural Gum rubber gaskets can be manufactured and supplied in a variety of different shapes, sizes, thicknesses, densities from 30-85 durometer, and an elongations range of 500% – 900%. SRP can custom laminate tapes to Natural Gum rubber materials to create an adhesive backed component for a part that requires adhesion to various surfaces.

Natural gum rubber is a soft polymer, and has excellent flexibility. While this elastomer can be stretched out, it is durable enough to handle repeated stress, and has excellent compression set resistance. Natural Gum Rubber gaskets also have excellent resilience to hot and cold temperatures, but have poor flame performance. Service Temperatures for Natural Gum Rubber ranges from -70°F – 180°F.

Natural Gum Rubber Gaskets are generally resistant to:

  • Abrasion
  • Flex-Cracking
  • Impact
  • Water
  • and Staining

Natural Gum Rubber Gaskets are generally attacked by:

  • Solvents
  • Flame
  • Weather
  • Ozone
  • and Sunlight

Natural gum rubber has unique chemical properties as well. Natural rubber material generally resists most organic salts, ammonia, acids, and alkali solutions. Due to this unique level of chemical resistance, natural gum rubber has been employed in various industrial settings. Natural Gum Rubber is more suited for light to medium grade applications in the industrial setting that do not involve overly abrasive temperatures and chemical conditions.
