SRP converts a variety of materials into custom gaskets and pads for gap filling applications
Gap filling applications primarily require sealing capabilities, compression set resistance, vibration dampening, and in cases where heat is a factor, thermal resistance. SRP works with some of the most trusted suppliers of Gap Filling materials in the industry. Below are materials we commonly convert for our customers:
PORON Polyurethane Foams
PORON is well known for its compression set resistance. PORON has the ability to maintain reliable pressure force to fill and seal gaps consistently, withstanding collapse caused by the stresses of compression and temperature over time. These superior gap filler foams are flexible yet reliable, offering long-term durability to fill gaps caused by variations in manufacturing tolerances or environmental changes that may occur in a broad range of operating conditions.
Silicone
The benefits of silicone materials include resistance to temperature extremes, UV and ozone, resilience to mechanical fatigue, excellent compression-set and creep resistance, and comply with UL flame ratings. We commonly convert materials from high-performance brands such as BISCO Silicone, DSP Silicone and Bellofram Silicone products.
Griswold Open Cell Sponge
Griswold Sponge offers a wide range of open cell, cellular rubber products based predominantly on natural rubber, but also include offerings in neoprene, EPDM, Nitrile and SBR, as well as custom-designed compounds. Griswold Sponge materials are tough, durable and showcase high compressibility and absorbency features.
Thermal Gap Pads
Gap Pads provide superior conformability, thermal performance and ease of application. Thermal Gap Pads provide effective thermal interfaces between heat sinks and electronic devices where there are uneven surfaces, air gaps and rough surface textures. They offer high conformability to reduce interface resistance, as well as providing low stress vibration damping.
